Our North Korean Ministry provides monthly gatherings open to all North Korean defectors, prioritizing relationship building and sharing the Gospel and the love of Christ through healing activities, Bible-based stories, shared meals, and prayer.
Our NK Ministry seeks to fulfil core Gospel City values of Engaging Culture, Helping the Hurting, and Loving the City. North Korean defectors are a deeply hurt and traumatized population and often struggle with integration into South Korean society or finding community—even after years of living in freedom. The NK Ministry aims to build lasting relationships with each attendee through conversation, prayer, and sharing a meal together, along with simple activities and biblically-based, Gospel-centered instruction. All contributions are helpful and go toward providing the meals and materials for joyful, creative activities each month.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. –2 Corinthians 1:3-5
